All Work, Work, Work!

Wow, the past few weeks have flown by with barely a knitting needle in sight!

After our wedding and honeymoon, I came back to a mountain of work both at home and the office.

Many files to catch up and people to phone at work.

And at home, well Andy and I have made the big move to Victoria. We finally packed up our Vancouver apartment (we’ve been living in 2 places since early spring) and moved all our worldly possessions to the Lake House in Victoria. It is so wonderful to have our books again!

Knitting Things I am very excited about:

1. Never Not Knitting Podcast – not only does Alana make the most beautiful patterns, her voice is like warm honey in a cup of tea by the fire.

2. Knit City is this weekend! I am so excited to be taking a course with Kate Atherley, the technical editor for

3. Stash and Burn Podcast - because I already have sooooo much yarn.

So moving also meant packing up my tiny 4 foot by 4 foot yarn studio. And what did i discover – 6 large bins of yarn and crafty goodness. A conservative estimate would suggest I have at least 20,000 yards of yarn to knit! That was a bit of a wake-up-call for sure. But Knit City is this weekend and I am already wondering what treasures I will find. Not good, not good at all.

I have made these gorgeous mittens before, but isn’t the colour combination below just magic. I love the restraint of the grey and black against the awesome surprise of pink interior!

That’s all for now. I promise to share my Knit City stories with you next week!

much love always,
